Enables Text Search and Selection Across All Drawing Files
Fort Collins, Colo., June 8, 2015 – AI MAXTools, Inc. has added new functionality to their AI DataMAX product, an add-in tool for PTC’s Creo Elements/Direct (CED) Modeling solution. Users can now perform comprehensive text searches and select text in PDF drawings that have been generated using AI MAX Export2D from the PTC CED Annotation module. This gives users the ability to copy text from a drawing to use in an email and to find text on a drawing that has been referenced by someone else, as well as allowing the PDF files to be searched and indexed automatically.
“Searchable, selectable text in PDF files is something that has previously been unavailable to users of Creo Elements/Direct and CoCreate Annotation,” explained Andy Poulsen, president and CTO of AI MAXTools. “Searchable Text PDFs is just the latest example of user-requested functionality that we bring to users of PTC Creo Elements/Direct and CoCreate Modeling. As with all of our tools, this functionality will be available to all users of the product, no matter what version of Creo Elements/Direct or CoCreate they're using, even as far back as version 15! This allows users to have access to the full functionality of the AI MAXTools products while maintaining complete control of their timetable for upgrading their base tools.”
AI MAXTools is a suite of add-in tools for PTC’s CoCreate Modeling that increases productivity and streamlines design methodology by providing higher design quality, shorter design cycles, and more accurate/complete models.
