The specialized solution integrates the portable ROMER Absolute Arm 73 Series with Alphacam Stone software from Vero Software to provide a streamlined approach to solve the unique challenges of marble and stone fabrication. Alphacam Stone is one of the most widely-used CAM software packages in the stone industry, developed through Vero Software’s close industry partnerships with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to create the ultimate tool of the trade. The all-purpose metrology system delivered by the ROMER 73 series PCMM (portable coordinate measurement machine) is an ideal solution for stone cutting craftsmen who need to scan and reverse engineer existing parts. The scanning process captures intricately detailed part surfaces and converts point clouds into usable data for machining processes. This digital methodology introduces a new level of speed and accuracy as compared to traditional manual methods of stone production. The integrated laser scanner is designed to capture data from almost any object surface. Specific point data can also be captured from a part’s surface, as scanner and probe measurements are combined in the same software session.
