(“Osmose”), the leading provider of critical evaluation, maintenance, restoration, and engineering-related services for electric utility and telecommunications infrastructure in the U.S., announced today that it is rebranding and fully integrating its two Canadian service companies, Effigis Geo-Solutions Inc. (“Effigis”) and Provincial Pole Specialist, Inc (“PPSI”). The combined companies are now Osmose Utilities Services Canada, Inc., led by former Senior Vice President, Operations for Effigis, Claude Levasseur.

Founded in 1991 and purchased by Osmose in 2023, Effigis is a leader in geospatial information, pole evaluation, and design services, serving major Canadian electric utility and telecom providers in Quebec, British Columbia, and Alberta. Effigis draws from a vast selection of geospatial data collection tools, providing a range of services from land information collection to the development of custom solutions that address land mapping, field operations tracking, asset management, and cable network monitoring needs.

Operating for over 30 years and acquired by Osmose in 2020, PPSI is one of the largest utility pole maintenance providers in Canada, serving Canadian electric utility and telecom providers in Manitoba, Ontario, Saskatchewan, and Alberta. PPSI evaluates and treats more than 250,000 utility poles each year and provides pole reinforcement and a variety of other distribution line maintenance services throughout the country.
