OPEN MIND Technologies Dental Solutions To Shine at Lab Day Chicago

Needham, Massachusetts, February 2010 – OPEN MIND Technologies USA will present hyperDENT® CAM software at LMT Lab Day Chicago on February 27 at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers.

hyperDENT® is a dedicated solution for producing dental restorative components. This product has a wizard-based User Interface that allows dental laboratory operators that are new to CAD/CAM the ability to quickly enter this dynamic market. The software also allows expert users to easily adapt programming procedures and parameters, without having to rely on special programming languages or external consulting. hyperDENT has been applied to all materials common in the dental industry including Zirconia oxide, titanium, cobalt chrome, and lithium disilicate.

Based on proven procedures from technology-leading hyperMILL® CAM software by OPEN MIND Technologies, hyperDENT has a strong foundation in efficient machining, collision checking, and postprocessing. hyperDENT also has heritage inside a closed-architecture dental CAD/CAM solution for nearly 10 years. Solutions are possible for common machine configurations used in the dental industry including 3+1, 3+2, and 5-axis simultaneous machine tools.

A Component of Open-Architecture CAD/CAM Systems

hyperDENT is a component of the increasingly popular open-architecture dental processes. As such, it can work with any dental scanner or CAD software, and results can be exported by way of postprocessors to any machine tool or milling center. Additionally, there are also custom input interfaces for certain dental design processes including 3Shape DentalDesigner™ and ZFx dental software.

Automation Solutions for the Dental Industry
OPEN MIND postprocessors used in hyperDENT also have advanced commands to interface with workpiece automation systems available on DMG Sauer HSC-10 and HSC-20 machines and also on Roeders RXD4 and RXD5 machines.
