Tata Technologies eMO EV Study Illustrates ‘ENOVIA™ V6 – Solutions for Product Design’ Webinar

Novi, Mich., July 10, 2012 – Tata Technologies, a leading global provider of engineering services and product development IT, presents “ENOVIA™ V6 – Solutions for Product Design” in a comprehensive webinar on July 11 at 10 a.m. EST. The presenter is industry expert Kevin Power, Tata Technologies Dassault Systemés Business Development Manager. Power will demonstrate ENOVIA V6 for product design, using the Tata Technologies electric MObility (eMO) EV study data as an example how it could be applied to a real-world application.

eMO made its world debut at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), in Detroit, in January 2012. It was again exhibited at the SAE 2012 World Congress in Detroit in April. At that time, Power demonstrated the innovative application of software tools that could have supported the creation of eMO, including ENOVIA V6. He further refined the proof of concept and presented it – in conjunction with Dassault Systemés – at the GLACOE (Great Lakes Area CATIA Operators Exchange) in June, at Lawrence Technological University (LTU), in metro Detroit. The event was a part of the Designers Café sponsored by LTU, showcasing student design work in automotive interiors and exteriors. This material became the basis for the webinar series.

"This ground-breaking eMO study was completed quickly and accurately in large part because the development team relied heavily on the capabilities of Dassault Systèmes' leading edge design authoring solutions,” Power told audiences at SAE and LTU. “The development was also a global effort and required collaboration between geographically disparate locations, CATIA became the common language of the extended team and allowed rapid comparison of proposals, leading to swift decisions – truly the ‘cement of innovation’.”

Webinar participants will benefit from Power’s insights and perspective, and will see the same eMO-focused proof of concept, with expanded information specific to this webinar, that he presented at SAE and LTU.

By supplying a single version of the truth, the ENOVIA V6 solution enables manufacturers to introduce new and complex products with visibility, clarity, integration and continuous improvement throughout the product creation cycle.
