August 7, 2012 -- Cabinet Vision’s rendering features are the best ever in the latest release of the market leading manufacturing software for cabinets and casegoods being demonstrated at W12.
And Alphacam’s ability to produce stunning low relief carvings for CNC routing and engraving projects is also expected to be a centre of attention on Vero Software’s stand: 7F 684.
Cabinet Vision’s UK Sales Manager Shaun Boit says the new rendering inside the latest release, V8, which uses global illumination, is the best he has seen during six years of working with the software. “Woodworking manufacturers use Cabinet Vision’s rendering as a marketing tool, showing their customers exactly how the cabinets will look in situ. Now those renderings look even better.”
Other new features include the capability to import BXF files from Blum Dynaplan, to automate all machining for their designs and components. And Autocad designs can now be imported straight into Cabinet Vision’s Screen-To-Machine Centre, for even faster toolpath creation, nesting and machining.
As well as seeing on-screen demonstrations, visitors to W12 can see Cabinet Vision in action on a number of machine manufacturers’ stands. It is likely to feature live demonstrations of Nesting and Part machining, including machining of Dovetail drawers and DXF components.
Business Manager Marie Cassidy says as well as being one of the woodworking industry’s most popular nested based software, Cabinet Vision has the ability to machine on point-to point, vertical and horizontal machines, and readily works with saws, and drill and dowel machines.
Also, a number of Cabinet Vision customers will be on the stand at various times of the show to explain to visitors how the software helped them take their businesses to the next level. “There will be third party examples showing how we customise post processors, enabling Cabinet Vision to connect to virtually any machine on the market,” she says.
Sharing the stand with Cabinet Vision, is Alphacam. Amongst its many features visitors will see Alphacam’s router machining capabilities, its cabinet door manufacturing and automated parametric programming, and how it creates stunning low relief carvings from 2D designs and 3D models, which is proving popular for carving decorative ornate panels and doors, swept flourishes, custom millwork, architectural mouldings, dimensional signage, bespoke company logos, custom gifts and awards.
Alphacam engineers will be on hand to demonstrate the software’s capabilities, including automatically optimising a Rough/Finish Toolpath to only remove the area left by a previous sawing operation. “This minimises the cycle time and increases productivity – which manufacturers tell us are vital aspects of their shopfloor processes,” says Alphacam General Manager Nick Spurrett.
A simulation enhancement gives improved support for rapid moves with an all-new Automatic Rapid Manager. Rapid positioning moves between 5-axis operations and work plane operations are now automatically created by setting just one “Safe Level” value.
