Alphacam’s Reporting, Support Tags and Oscillation on Show at Southern

Alphacam, the leading CAM solution for wood, stone, composites and metal components from 2 Axis through to 5 Axis NC programming applications, will be showing its latest release on stand P72 at the Southern Manufacturing Exhibition, on February 13 and 14, at FIVE, at Farnborough ( www.industrysouth.co.uk).

Part of the Vero Software Group, Alphacam offers increased productivity, reliability, and flexibility. Its unparalleled ease of use and sophisticated toolpath generation, make it the ideal CAM system for routing, milling and turning.

Visitors to the Alphacam stand will see a host of functionality that reduces programming time and material wastage, while improving material surface finish, part quality and tool life.

It includes a new reporting application for nested job reports, setup sheets, tool listings and part labels; toolpath oscillation, which utilises more of the tool’s effective cutting length; automatically adding support tags allowing the part to stay attached to the material being machined; nesting zones which contribute to reducing material wastage and improving the quality of the part; and pocket area clearance and finish contour machining can be combined into a single machining operation, which improves the quality of the part and reduces programming time.

Alphacam General Manager Nick Spurrett says: “These enhancements ensure Alphacam not only keeps pace with the changing needs of manufacturers throughout the area, but also delivers maximum return on investment.”
