Graphics Systems Corp. Finalizes Plans For Third Annual Midwest SolidWorks User Conference

The conference consists of a multitude of productivity seminars, management sessions, product presentations, and networking opportunities. Attendees encouraged to register early for special discounts.

Menomonee Falls, WI – July 6, 2004- Graphics Systems Corporation (GXSC), headquartered in Menomonee Falls, WI is pleased to announce that most major details for its annual conference have been finalized. Graphics Systems Corporation’s Third Annual Midwest SolidWorks User Conference is designed to help attendees gain a clear understanding of more efficient design and manufacturing processes. The event will take place September 8th-10th, 2004 at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.

GXSC’s conference offers a multitude of informational sessions, along with several extracurricular activities, including a golf outing on Wednesday afternoon and a boat cruise on Thursday evening. Brian Harrison, director of drawings development for SolidWorks Corporation, will host a roundtable discussion at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening to address the topic of “Working with Legacy Data.” The event is limited to the first 25 registrants. Other attendees can enjoy a social hour networking in the exhibitor pavilion from 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Mark Sears, SolidWorks Corporation’s Director of Subscription Service, will give an opening address to start off Thursday’s activities which follow a technical focus. Thursday’s topics include such subjects as the SolidWorks Application Programming Interface (API), Advanced Surfacing, eDrawings, Productivity, Advanced Assemblies, Weldments, and Library Structures. GXSC trainers John Setzer and George Cook will give presentations along with Brenda Bosley of the Centare Group, Ed Eaton of the DiMonte Group, Joe Bassett of Dawn Equipment, and Dave LeBlanc and Greg Jankowski of SolidWorks Corporation.

Jeff Ray, chief operating officer of SolidWorks Corporation, will be the keynote speaker, kicking off the final day of the event by hosting an executive briefing breakfast for presidents, vice presidents and managers of manufacturing companies. Ray will then address the general audience by sharing his views on the direction of computer aided design (CAD) following the opening address from Brad Brunker, mechanical design engineer for Electronic Theatre Controls, who will demonstrate why and how he and his company use SolidWorks. The event will conclude with a “What’s New in SolidWorks 2005” demonstration.
