OnMicro Launches Multi-Protocol Bluetooth SoCs Family

New High Performance HS6621 SoCs are Optimized for IoT Applications

HONG KONG — (BUSINESS WIRE) — May 13, 2021 — OnMicro, an innovator in RF semiconductors, today unveiled its new family of multi-protocol Bluetooth SoCs. These devices are designed to deliver high performance for smart watches, voice remote controllers, Bluetooth MESH, smart home devices, wireless keyboards / mice and more. The HS6621 SoC family is being designed into all of these applications and has now entered volume production.

HS6621 is designed with 32-bit ARM® Cortex™-M4F CPU and supports both Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0/5.1 and 2.4G proprietary protocol, as well as the Bluetooth MESH protocol. All of the products of the new SoC family have a Bluetooth transceiver with integrated balun, and achieve +7 dBm typical Tx output power with -95dBm RX sensitivity. The HS6621 Bluetooth SoC family also supports common peripherals such as UART/SPI/I2C and DSPI as the display interface. To provide greater flexibility for various IoT applications, the HS6621 SoC family offers different SFLASH and SRAM sizes.
