Demand for high-quality digital imagery created by first DMC fuels growth and need for second camera

"After deploying our first DMC one year ago, we experienced tremendous business growth," said Mark Schubert, co-owner and mission pilot with Aerial Surveys International. "The precise accuracy and sharp resolution of images taken with the DMC have sparked an unexpected level of demand for digital imagery among our customer base, so we have acquired a second camera to handle this additional business."

The Intergraph DMC will be used by Aerial Surveys for a wide range of acquisition missions including state-wide orthophoto projects and large-scale engineering surveys.

"The implementation of a second DMC at Aerial Surveys, combined with a multitude of recent DMC sales in other parts of the world, underscores Intergraph's leadership in image acquisition and production both in the U.S. and around the globe," said Klaus Neumann, camera systems product manager for Intergraph. "With renewed emphasis on the development and upgrade of critical infrastructure worldwide, the DMC will continue to play an invaluable role in the mapping, management and building of crucial assets."

Intergraph is a pioneer in photogrammetry and image acquisition. The DMC was the industry's first large-format frame digital aerial camera, the first to be certified by the United States Geological Survey and the first to offer an innovative Solid State Disk (SSD) storage technology to decrease camera weight and footprint.

In addition to the DMC, Aerial Surveys also utilizes Intergraph's stabilized camera mount to compensate for angular aircraft movements during photo flights, and image processing software for the fast, efficient output of high-quality digital imagery.
