Solid Edge Computer-Aided Design Contest Winners Named by EDS

Design projects from around the world paint a productive picture for the Solid Edge user community

PLANO, Texas – EDS today announced the winners of the annual Solid Edge design contest, honoring users of its award-winning 3D solid modeling computer-aided design software for their mechanical engineering accomplishments.

Solid Edge customers entered more than 150 design projects from around the world. Development managers and the global executive team from Solid Edge selected four winners in four categories: part design, part images, assembly design and assembly image. In addition, Solid Edge customers attending the 5th Annual Solid Edge Global Summit last month in Orlando, Florida selected two Users’ Choice winners.

“These 150 entries show that the Solid Edge community of users leads the world in mechanical design,” said Bruce Boes, vice president of Solid Edge global marketing and business strategy at EDS. “The breadth and high quality of the projects reflects very well on the individual designers as well as the Solid Edge product.”
