KUKA Robotics Canada, Ltd. Demonstrates Small Footprint Palletizing Solution

TORONTO — (BUSINESS WIRE) — May 4, 2009 KUKA Robotics Canada, Ltd. booth # 3120 will display the KUKA solution for medium payload palletizing, the KR 40 PA. The KR 40 PA will be displayed in a demo cell designed and supplied by Mécano Industrie. The high speed carbon fiber arm design of the KR 40 PA makes it the ideal robot for the highly efficient, exceptionally small footprint of the 9x7 foot cell. Equipped with an 8 suction cup vacuum tool the KR 40 PA can pick two boxes in one cycle. The monoblock cell configuration shortens set-up time; in most cases under an hour, making the cell easily portable to different areas within the plant location. The KR 40 PA cell can be configured with different options such as; automation pallet dispensing, automatic slip-sheet dispensing, semi-automatic pallet dispensing, pallet out-feed conveyor, vision guidance, case packing and palletizing.
