Autodesk SketchBook Mobile Surpasses One Million Downloads on the App Store

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — November 16, 2009Autodesk SketchBook Mobile software from Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK), has surpassed one million downloads on the App Store since its debut on September 17. Autodesk SketchBook Mobile is a professional-grade paint and drawing app that offers a full set of sketching tools designed specifically for the iPhone and iPod touch.

Users have purchased more than 141,000 copies of SketchBook Mobile and have downloaded more than 900,000 versions of the free* Autodesk SketchBook Mobile Express on the App Store, bringing total downloads to more than one million. Autodesk’s first commercial mobile application was the number one entertainment App and number three top grossing App in the United States in its first few weeks on the market. Sales performance for SketchBook Mobile currently ranks it among the top 100 grossing Apps in the U.S. Users worldwide consistently rate SketchBook Mobile with an average of four plus out of five stars.

Autodesk SketchBook Mobile uses the same engine as Autodesk SketchBook Pro painting and drawing software, delivering much of the power and functionality as the desktop application. Content created in SketchBook Mobile can be saved in the Photo Library or emailed directly as PNG or PSD format for further refinement in SketchBook Pro. There are more than 100,000 SketchBook Pro users, representing a wide range of designers, illustrators, graphic artists, students and hobbyists.
