Intermap Announces $950,000 NEXTMap Enterprise Sale to Leading Global Telecommunications Company

NEXTMap® LinkPro™ 3D Business Intelligence Application Will Aid in the Planning and Development of 4G Wireless Networks Across the United States

DENVER — (BUSINESS WIRE) — October 19, 2011Intermap (TSX: IMP), a leading provider of location-based information (LBI) solutions created from its uniform, high-resolution 3D digital models and orthorectified imagery of the Earth’s surface, today announced it has received a two-year, US$950,000 enterprise contract from a leading global telecommunications company for its NEXTMap LinkPro™ 3D Business Intelligence application.

This leading telecommunications company will help their customers modernize their networks by using Intermap’s accurate NEXTMap clutter height data for the planning and development of 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) wireless networks across the United States.

The NEXTMap LinkPro application was designed to support network expansion projects by delivering precise terrain profiles that include cultural features such as vegetation, buildings and roads. Network planners can immediately view the results online or import the data into their network planning software to create accurate direct path models that quickly verify whether lines of sight between existing and proposed tower locations are unimpeded.

“Network optimization and expansion strategies were once created based on inconsistent and unreliable elevation data that required labor-intensive and costly field surveys to identify potential network obstructions,” said Todd Oseth, president and CEO of Intermap. “Today, with speed to market being so critical, network planners can quickly use our NEXTMap LinkPro application to retrieve the data they need to determine the best network expansion strategy for a specific area.”
