Geosoft and Esri User Group meetings at the Roundup will update on new directions and improvements in ArcGIS and Geosoft solutions for mineral explorers
January 20, 2012, Toronto, Canada - Geosoft will be attending the 29th Mineral Exploration Roundup conference running January 23-26 in Vancouver, Canada. This year’s Roundup coincides with the 100 year anniversary of event organizer Association for Mineral Exploration BC (AME BC).
The Geosoft team will be available at booth B12 January 25-26 to engage with companies looking for technical advise and software solutions to optimize the use of data for exploration effectiveness and discovery success.
A Geosoft User Group meeting will be held January 24th. Geosoft and Esri Canada will be co-sponsoring the Esri Mining User Group (MUG) meeting hosted by Teck Resources Limited on January 25th. At the conference, Geosoft will be demonstrating the latest enhancements within their Oasis montaj and Target exploration mapping software, including new tools to assist with more effective exploration targeting, improved drillhole planning and reporting. There will also be a preview of what’s coming in 2012 with a continued focus on enriched 3D visualization and analysis of subsurface structures. Included in the preview is a demonstration of Geosoft’s VOXI Earth Modelling service, currently in pre-release, which enables geoscientists to create 3D models of the earth by applying inversion techniques to 2D magnetic or gravity data.
