AppGeo's MapGeo Continues Expansion

March 14, 2012 -- Applied Geographics, Inc. (AppGeo) launched its newest hosted web mapping solution, called  MapGeo, in September, 2011.  Since then, AppGeo has launched 25 municipal sites in six states with several more in production.  Recently launched MapGeo websites include:  Hopkinton, Beverly, Milford, Seekonk, and Quincy, Massachusetts; Darien and Cromwell, Connecticut, and our first site in  Rhode Island, the Town of Lincoln.  In the coming weeks, MapGeo sites will be completed for counties and municipalities in Virginia, New York, and Maine.

MapGeo represents AppGeo’s next generation web solution that leverages an interactive HTML5-based user interface and aggressive use of tile caching hosted in the Cloud to deliver a very fast and friendly end user experience.  While MapGeo represents a new, low-price point, entry-level offering aimed at local government, AppGeo continues to develop and deliver a wide variety of custom and workflow based GIS web-sites for its local, state and federal government customers on both Esri™ and Open Source platforms.
