SimuTech Group offers cloud-based ANSYS workshops

SimuCloud provides flexible, powerful, secure environment
for FEA and CFD users.

Rochester, NY: March 21, 2012 – SimuTech Group (SimuTech), the largest full service ANSYS Channel Partner in North America will launch its first SimuCloud™ FEA & CFD Workshop - cloud-based Hands-On Workshop (HOW) - on March 28, 2012.
SimuTech offers these sessions for analysts and engineers who want to perform finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) in a secure and highly scalable computing environment regardless of geographical location.

This cloud-based computing environment eliminates many of the usual barriers associated with traditional training and software evaluations such as expensive, long-lead time investments in hardware, IT infrastructure, and system maintenance. Each HOW provides full graphical access to a multi-core cloud-based computer and pre-loaded ANSYS® software.  These HOW sessions are self-paced, interactive, and come with step-by-step instructions.

Rick James, Vice-President of Consulting Services, said, “We structure each HOW session so that the technology is easy to use and access. Cloud-based training and evaluations provide a very sophisticated yet simple approach for offering state-of-the-art analysis tools to our clients and prospects. We believe this cloud-based technology is the current frontier for helping users become more effective, strategic engineers within their organizations. The cloud eliminates hardware as a bottleneck for almost all analysis types.

“Cloud computing is ideally suited for analysts and engineering departments because it provides immediate access to flexible, high-performance computing (HPC) resources configured the way analysts need it and when they need it. It also offers full graphical performance. Given that SimuTech is one of the first companies to provide access to ANSYS software in a cloud-based setting, we are using the HOW sessions as a means to educate clients,” noted James.
