Cambashi's Peter Thorne to Present International Business Update at COFES 2012

BOSTON, MA and CAMBRIDGE, UK -- (MARKET WIRE) -- Mar 27, 2012 -- Cambashi, a leading global industry analyst and market consulting firm, today announced that Peter Thorne, managing director, will present an international business update on April 12 at 4 p.m. during the COFES 2012 Conference (Congress on the Future of Engineering Software) which is being held April 12-15 at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort in Scottsdale, AZ.

Cambashi maintains quantitative market models of the global technical applications software business and has presented annually at COFES conferences. Thorne, an industry expert in the new product introduction process, as well as business and industrial applications of information and communications technologies, will review prior year technical applications revenue figures by country.

"We slice market numbers by products, industries, countries, and employment. This highlights tantalizing clues and reflections of the ways in which different industries and regions respond to changing economic circumstances," Thorne said. "By finding the relationships to developments in technology and industrial practice around the world, we uncover insights into changes in the market, and changes in the way technical applications are used. At COFES, I will present some of these, particularly in relation to smart products and embedded software development."

Thorne plans to illustrate findings with Google Earth to visualize the country-by-country analysis as well as industry specific practices.

The 2012 COFES conference is focused on "The Intersection of Design and Risk" and will explore the role of risk in design, the impact time-horizon plays in software design and what actions can be taken in response.
