Southampton, UK. 13 April 2012: Snowflake Software is proud to announce a strategic technology alliance with IT services provider SciSys. The new Technology partnership not only compliments both companies strengths in data and information management but also enables future collaboration to provide an INSPIRE offering to UK markets.

Specialists in providing IT solutions within government, environment, space science and defence markets, SciSys joins Snowflake’s Technology Alliance programme at a time when UK national, regional and local authorities must meet deadlines for the INSPIRE adoption milestones as defined in the European directive.

Steve Brignall, SciSys CTO commented, "SciSys is excited by the opportunities brought about by this partnership. Having worked already with Snowflake and its products we are more than aware of the potential.  Snowflake technologies are used by some of the largest data providers and national mappings all over Europe so matching our systems integration and service provision expertise with Snowflake’s publishing platform creates a strong joint offering”

Ian Painter, Managing Director of Snowflake Software added, “Our Technology Alliance programme reinforces our commitment at Snowflake to support System Integrators who want build innovative products and services with our technology.  Welcoming SciSys onto our Technology Alliance programme is just the first step of a long-term relationship particularly focused on addressing the INSPIRE opportunities in the UK”.
