K2D-KeyToData GmbH, development partner of the software producer Kubotek, has announced today that a new version of the innovative CAD viewer is available now: Kubotek KeyView V11.5.1. Highlights of the new version include new and updated import formats, improved assembly functionality, performance improvement for model handling, as well as a number of small enhancements, based on customer input.

In addition to CATIA V5 2D, Pro/E 2D and NX 2D the latest version now also supports the import of SolidWorks 2D and CATIA V6 2D. Other import formats have been updated to support the latest versions.
Besides, the performance for model handling has been considerably improved. In version 11.5.1, models can be zoomed, rotated and moved much faster.
Another improvement includes the assembly functionality in Kubotek KeyView. With the new release, users can create assemblies directly in KeyView easier than before. As it is now possible to place parts that are to be added via the DynaHandle directly during the import process, parts can be positioned much faster than in the previous version.
In addition, the calculation algorithm has been improved in order to get more precise data for projected surfaces.
