LightWave 3D Group Launches New Website and Online Store

The road to SIGGRAPH 2012 begins with the launch of Lightwave3D.com to connect, educate and empower
LightWave 3D artists all over the world

BURBANK, CA – August 2, 2012 – The LightWave 3D Group, a division of NewTek, Inc., has launched a new LightWave 3D® website and online store at www.lightwave3d.com—the first of many new LightWave-based announcements planned for SIGGRAPH 2012.

See the latest LightWave 3D software and listen to LightWave artists share their production stories at SIGGRAPH 2012 in the LightWave 3D Group Booth #701, Los Angeles Convention Center, August 7-9.
“The new LightWave 3D website highlights all the phenomenal visuals being created by LightWave artists—from independent animators and architects to high-profile studios and production houses,” said Rob Powers, president of the LightWave 3D Group. “When we set out to redesign the website, the first thing we wanted to do was give back to our customers with everything from LightWave training videos and behind-the-scenes interviews to third-party resources and community forums.”

The new website also features an online store offering an immediately downloadable purchase of LightWave 3D software that no longer requires a hardware dongle for use. Customers who want a hardware dongle to run LightWave plug-ins can purchase the device separately and existing users can continue utilizing the LightWave hardware dongle seamlessly without affecting workflow. Additional merchandise is also planned for the online store, including limited edition LightWave t-shirts, LightWave training DVDs, books, and more.
