Handling complex CAD assemblies with filtering tools of Kisters 3DViewStation V11.3

Aachen, 2011/09/13: KISTERS has announced the release 11.3 of the 3DViewStation. The KISTERS 3DViewStation is known for the modern user-interface, high performance 3D-viewing, current and mature CAD-importers plus a reasonable set of functional tools to view, analyze and communicate 3D-data.

Enhancements of the V11.3 include a new filtering tool, which can be used to reduce the objects being displayed through selection by color, by name or by CAD-attribute. Together with neighborhood search plus standard selection methods via model tree or graphics pane the filtering tool now allows to identify objects of  interest through many ways. This significantly enhances productivity when navigating complex CAD-models.
New are also a BOM function, which generates the Bill-Of-Material of a CAD-model loaded, 3D-annotations, 3D-markups, dimensioning and CAD-attribute reading during import. Views being created contain a preview-image, can be sorted via drag & drop and can be played in an automated way, similar to a slideshow. This is much easier than working with a key-frame animation engine. Finally 3DViewStation now supports 3D-mice of 3DConnexion. The new features of 3DViewStation can be reviewed in our BLOG.

All enhancements of the KISTERS 3DViewStation are available in the Desktop version as well as in the ActiveX integration component, which is intended to be used together with a PLM- or other management system.

Many customers appreciate the extremely short load-times of the KISTERS 3DViewStation. But besides performance it is important to continuously keep the CAD-importers current. The KISTERS 3DViewStation proofs this i.e. by supporting latest Catia, Creo, NX, Inventor, SolidWorks, JT and STEP, just to name a few. Besides a reasonable set of  viewing and analysis functions 3DViewStation provides exports, into i.e. STEP and 3D-PDF (both U3D and PRC-flavors).

The KISTERS 3DViewStation V11 is developed very close to customer requirements, available as Desktop and ActiveX product-version, 32-bit and 64-bit, shipping with a modern and intuitive Office 2010 compliant user-interface. There are seat and floating licenses available.
