MACHINEWORKS AND POLYGONICA SOFTWARE TOOLKITS AT EUROMOLD

SHEFFIELD - November 12, 2012 – MachineWorks technology will be showing the latest full machine simulation and solid healing technology at Euromold 2012 in Frankfurt, Germany, 27th-30th November on Hall 8, Stand B20. MachineWorks Simulation

MachineWorks display - is that fast enough for you?

MachineWorks latest interactive simulation demos will be showing visitors how they could benefit from the seamless combination of the MachineWorks family of engines and how different engines would suit different machine simulation requirements.

Users may not want to simulate large or complex toolpaths with millions of cuts - they may just require a quick result to verify the job and only animate the problematic areas. Fast simulation may prove too fast for the human eye to detect errors. Accuracy may be vital for precision parts and tolerances need to be tight. Other jobs may require maximum speed. MachineWorks version 7.2 allows that kind of flexibility; some customers have reported a 30-40% increase on performance after an easy upgrade.

How is that possible? MachineWorks has spent 17 years solving challenging development requirements for more than 60% of the CAM industry in the component market. Thanks to this deep understanding of the customer needs and the continuous commitment to deliver innovative solutions, MachineWorks has developed a true solid engine capable of sweeping volumes without missing clashes for optimal accuracy; MachineWorks has enhanced its sampling technology for the desired performance; MachineWorks has patented its infinite-zooming engine for the combination of speed and accuracy.

"We are at Euromold to directly support our customers around the world and help them to make greater and better use of MachineWorks " says Mike Nicholson, Sales & Marketing Director. "Our stand is always populated with technical staff happy to sit down with customers to discuss optimisation".

Polygonica Display - show me the magic MachineWorks Simulation

Polygonica will be demonstrated at Euromold but demonstrating Polygonica is like showing a magic trick. See this open model? Now it is open, press this button, now it is closed. There is not much to see but there is a lot to take in.

Solid models around the world are causing bottlenecks while waiting to be fixed, waiting to be made watertight, waiting to be 3D printed. Polygonica has been developed to help reduce those by automatically closing models, slicing models, re-orienting triangles, fixing self-intersections, simplifying geometry, profile offsetting, arc fitting and performing other Boolean operations.

All those 17 years of developing MachineWorks have created a robust core engine that allows STL repair and manipulation of polygonal solid models.
