HP Demonstrates Cloud-based Large-format Printing Solutions and Workstations at Autodesk University

Comprehensive solutions offer mobility, simplicity and quality to CAD and AEC professionals

LAS VEGAS, Nev., Nov. 27, 2012 – At Autodesk University 2012, HP is demonstrating its award-winning portfolio of cloud-based large-format printing solutions and all-in-one workstations. These offerings deliver mobility, simplicity and quality to design professionals.

Found in the HP Platinum Sponsor Lounge and booth 120, the new HP Designjet T120 and T520 ePrinter series are the industry’s first web-connected, entry-level large-format printing solutions. Together with the free HP Designjet ePrint & Share web service, these devices provide large-format printing through the cloud from virtually anywhere. (1) HP is also demonstrating the HP Z1 Workstation, the world’s first all-in-one workstation with a 27-inch diagonal display.

“Designers in the Autodesk community are expected to respond quickly to shortened project turnaround times, remain accessible and be highly mobile,” said Karen Nager, Designjet director, Americas, HP. “At Autodesk University 2012, we are showing how HP has responded to this need with the full HP Designjet ePrinter portfolio and line-up of HP Workstations, which helps our customers stay connected wherever the job takes them.”

HP solutions for CAD and AEC professionals

HP, the market leader in solutions for computer-aided design (CAD) and architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) professionals, offers the industry’s only portfolio of web-connected large-format ePrinters. In addition, its HP Z Workstations are among the fastest, most expandable and reliable computers available today.

The smallest printer in its class with a footprint of only 38.9 inches, the HP Designjet T120 ePrinter offers the benefits of two printers in one with a built-in B+/A3 tray and convenient front-loading roll. Available in 24- or 36-inch models, the HP Designjet T520 ePrinter improves processing power while also delivering twice the speed and resolution of its predecessor.(2) The HP Designjet T120 and T520 ePrinters are the only large-format printers available with built-in Wi-Fi connectivity, so users can install the printer where it is most convenient.(3)

The HP Designjet ePrinter portfolio features mobile access and printing of large-format plans using HP Designjet ePrint & Share.(1) The web service is available through a desktop web browser, mobile application or the touch screen of web-connected HP Designjet printers.  HP Designjet ePrint & Share offers a secure online print history, connection to file transfer protocol (FTP) sites in one place and automatically generated hyperlinks for one-click access to any file in the print history.

HP Z Workstations have the performance and reliability AEC users trust to deal with the most complex data, designs, 3D models, analysis and information. The HP Z1 Workstation offers a display that snaps open so users can easily swap out parts and make upgrades without any tools required.  HP will demonstrate the full line of Z Workstations, including the HP Elitebook Mobile Workstations, with Autodesk applications running at peak speeds.
