Brazil electric company can cut outage time by 33 percent with Intergraph's InService

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Dec. 7, 2012 — (PRNewswire) — CPFL Energia selected Intergraph® partner SISGRAPH to deploy Intergraph's InService outage management and mobile workforce management systems to benefit more than seven million customers in 569 cities across Brazil.

"The Intergraph InService solution from SISGRAPH proved to be a stable, high-performance system at RGE, a CPFL Energia company in Rio Grande do Sul, which has used Intergraph software for years," said Alexandre Junqueira Franco, Projects and TI Business Solutions Department Manager at CPFL Energia. "This validation was important when selecting a solution to improve operations across eight distribution companies and serve an even greater number of customers."

Using Intergraph's InService products, SISGRAPH will provide CPFL Energia with integrated outage management and mobile workforce management capabilities that tie into the utility's GIS, ERP and SCADA systems. InService's outage management system helps determine the cause and location of an outage and speeds service restoration times by as much as 33 percent, while its integrated mobile solution provides field crews with access to outage information and maps, providing better coordination between crews and dispatchers. CPFL Energia joins more than 600 utilities and communications companies around the world that power smarter decisions with Intergraph software.

"The new solution from SISGRAPH and Intergraph will change the way CPFL Energia executes its services in the field," said Fernando Schmiegelow, Marketing Director, SISGRAPH. "By integrating outage management and mobile workforce management into a single solution that can benefit its customers, CPFL Energia is demonstrating its leadership and commitment to customer service."
