Esri, DONG Energy to Present Geospatial Solutions at International SAP Conference for Utilities

Attendees Will Focus on SAP Integration to Speed Operations

REDLANDS, Calif., April 15, 2013 — (PRNewswire) — Esri utility experts are working with DONG Energy in preparation for the International SAP Conference for Utilities, scheduled for April 17–19 in Copenhagen, Denmark. The event is designed to address the unique business requirements of electric, gas, and water utilities.

At the conference, operators from DONG Energy, one of northern Europe's leading energy groups, will present Integrating the Smart Energy IT and Operational Technology World with SAP Thursday, April 18, at 11:30 a.m.

"By integrating IT and operational technology with SAP, we have been able to reduce redundant work," said Signe Bramming Andersen, manager of energy management at DONG Energy. "In our presentation, we will explain how we use geospatial technology from Esri to ensure that data is only maintained once—in the right system by the right resources."

At the Esri booth, conference attendees will see how Esri's geographic information system (GIS) technology can facilitate integration of SAP with other systems and technology. Visitors to the Esri booth will also learn how SAP and Esri are working together to deliver location analytics to the SAP enterprise.
