Dassault Systèmes (Paris: DSY) (Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA), the 3DEXPERIENCE Company, world leader in 3D design software, 3D Digital Mock Up and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions, today announced the acquisition of FE-DESIGN Group, a leader in design optimization for early-stage product development. The acquisition of FE-DESIGN, based in Karlsruhe, Germany, expands Dassault Systèmes’ SIMULIA applications to provide the most complete design optimization solution on the market. With more than 200 global product manufacturer customers, including General Motors, BMW, SIEMENS, and Suzlon, FE-DESIGN is the technology leader for non-parametric optimization solutions in both the structural and fluids-based domains. The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.
