Eyelit Inc. Announces the Special Processing Module for its Award-Winning Manufacturing Execution (MES) Software

Eyelit Manufacturing Special Processing™ facilitates design of experiments to accelerate R&D

TORONTO — (BUSINESS WIRE) — May 6, 2013Eyelit Inc., a manufacturing software provider for visibility, control, and coordination of manufacturing operations for the aerospace & defense, discrete electronics, semiconductor, and photovoltaic (solar) industries, announced today the forthcoming availability of its new Special Processing module.

The Eyelit Manufacturing Special Processing™ module helps manufacturers to design experiments for testing evolving processes and products. The module’s capabilities enable product and process engineers to configure special instructions in the system to enforce special work requests (SWRs) for research and development in a controlled and approved manner.

Companies can accelerate the development of new technologies and products by leveraging the module’s features to test potential changes to existing processes and configure entirely experimental processes. Non-standard flows enable engineers to insert, modify, or remove process steps and instructions for particular lots. They may also enforce specific split and merge positions where different units in a lot are re-routed for experimental steps and process adjustments. A custom experiment can pre-define the repetition of steps in a process flow, or the execution of different sequences, adjustment of processing parameters, and collection of additional information for detailed engineering data analysis.

“Our customers develop amazing products that often require bleeding-edge, high-tech processes,” stated Dan Estrada, Eyelit’s Vice-President of Sales and Marketing. “It is imperative for them to bring revolutionary products to market faster than ever to seize windows of opportunity. We have collaborated very closely with customers in developing this module to foster agility and experimentation. It is extremely helpful to engineers working on emerging technologies. They constantly innovate, executing quick-turn research and development to open up new revenue opportunities for these creative companies.”

SWRs can even adjust tool recipes on an ad hoc basis through automation by using the Eyelit Integration™ module and Eyelit Manufacturing’s recipe management capabilities. The requests also use configurable Eyelit QMS™ workflows to enforce the review and approval of SWRs prior to the launch of experiments. The new module is currently being deployed at early adopter sites and will be available for general release this summer.

Test Eyelit Special Processing at the 2013 User Conference

Eyelit’s next User Conference will provide a unique opportunity to test drive the Eyelit Special Processing module. It will be held September 30 – October 2, 2013 at the beautiful Loews Coronado Bay Resort in San Diego, California. Working sessions will be invaluable to customers as they connect and share their unique success stories, and participate in technical presentations on new product enhancements, hands-on training labs, product demonstrations, and discussions about best practice strategies.

Updates regarding the agenda, registration, and accommodations will be posted on Eyelit’s conference website, www.eyelit.com/conference2013. For more information, email Email Contact.
