May 24, 2013 - Compatibility of a CAD program is a key indicator of its performance measurement. Especially when communicating with other designers, the communication will be very hard if they use different CAD programs. To test the compatibility of GstarCAD8, DWG/DXF of AutoCAD 2013, DWS standard format files and multi-language applications were selected to be tested.

Multiple Language Application

As the international cooperation and communications become more and more popular, and many English speaking countries exists two languages or more, as a result, supporting multi-language is a great importance to a CAD program. It was proven that GstarCAD8 completely adapts multi-language application environment. For example, in the Chinese operation system, files name of French and Japanese all can be open and saved by GstarCAD8. So, users do not have to setup the region and language of operation system again when editing a different language drawing.



DWG/DXF of AutoCAD 2013

V2013 .dwg/.dxf is the exclusive file formats of AutoCAD2013 and AutoCAD2014. Few CAD programs are compatible with them on the market recently. However, V2013 .dwg/.dxf has already been supported by GstarCAD8 to realize the seamless compatibility.



DWS Files

DWS is one of the formats which can protect drawings provided by CAD programs. The test approved that GstarCAD8 is completely compatible with DWS files.
