New Release of Moldex3D eDesignSYNC Unveils Enhanced CAD-CAE Platform for PTC Creo Users

Hsinchu, Taiwan – Jun 11, 2013 – CoreTech System Co., Ltd. (Moldex3D), the globally leading provider of “True 3D” injection molding simulation solution, announces enhancements to the newest version of Moldex3D eDesignSYNC R12.0 for PTC® Creo® design software to deliver a fully integrated CAD/CAE solution comprising all-in-one seamless workflow – going from design, to simulation and analysis – all within a PTC® Creo® environment. The latest release of Moldex3D eDesignSYNC for PTC Creo makes it easier for PTC Creo designers to directly evaluate the analysis result in a familiar CAD environment and get real-time manufacturability insights to optimize the part geometry.

Moldex3D eDesignSYNC R12.0 for PTC Creo

Expanding its professional plastic troubleshooting capabilities from injection molding simulation to design field, Moldex3D has been dedicated to developing a more accessible and easy-to-use injection molding solution. With Moldex3D eDesignSYNC, designers can synchronize design changes to quickly and directly evaluate the manufacturability in the familiar environment; more than 80% of potential molding issues can be predicted and addressed upfront. “We consider the ability to solve critical molding issues in the early phase of design as one of the key factors for success in current global marketplace,” said Venny Yang, President of Moldex3D. “Moldex3D eDesignSYNC for PTC Creo is developed to help designers solve design bottlenecks associated with plastics more efficiently and more cost-effectively.”

Building upon the capabilities from the previous releases while adding more innovations, Moldex3D eDesignSYNC R12.0 will upgrade the interface for a more seamless integration with PTC Creo and comprise more advising features. In the new release, users can complete the simulation workflows from component modeling to result, displaying in a single environment, reducing time and enhancing streamlined integration. Through the newly-added slicing and clipping functions, users can visualize analysis results in various dimensions and better realize the variations of injection molded plastics. Additionally, the advisers for cooling time, sink mark, L/t and gate location will guide users to perform early design optimization to avoid repeating the analysis workflow. Users will benefit from the new offerings that deliver better user experience and higher work efficiency.

“The new release of Moldex3D eDesignSYNC R12.0 for PTC Creo fully integrates CAE insights early into the design phase to maximize manufacturability and accelerate design process. The upgraded interface ensures a seamless design-analysis environment, significantly improving cross functional collaboration,” said Michael Campbell, Executive Vice President, CAD segment, PTC.
