City of Roseville Streamlines Land Management With Accela Civic Solutions

SAN RAMON, CA -- (Marketwired) -- Jul 15, 2013 -- Accela, Inc., the leading provider of civic engagement solutions for government agencies, announced today that the City of Roseville is now live with Accela Automation. Located in the Sacramento metro area, key civic solutions will be used by Roseville's Development Services department, which provides permitting, plan review and inspection processes, including entitlement and environmental reviews.

"We look forward to using Accela solutions to support our direct engagement with citizens and business owners," said Chris Robles, Roseville's Economic Development Director. "Roseville is experiencing steady growth and by streamlining key permitting processes, we can enhance customer service while supporting new and existing business development."

Accela Automation is a web-based application that utilizes an open architecture and a centralized database, allowing information to be shared across departments while improving communication between office and field workers, citizens, business and other key stakeholders. It provides a complete solution for automating critical tasks associated with planning entitlements, building permits, improvement plans, fire permits, and code enforcement.

In addition to the launch of Accela Automation, Roseville will leverage two additional solutions to support the permitting process:

  • Accela Citizen Access: enables citizens, building contractors and tradespeople search for, submit and pay for permit applications.

  • Accela GIS: provides agency staff with an easy way to interact with GIS data through integration with their Esri or Internet maps.

"As communication with citizens becomes an increasingly important pillar of agency success, governments are turning to Accela to provide solutions that offer a window into key civic processes and an opportunity for two-way dialogue," said Maury Blackman, Accela President and CEO. "We're proud to work with the City of Roseville to support their goals of empowering citizens and providing more efficient government processes."
