Optech to attend SASGI conference

Toronto, Canada, July 16, 2013 — Optech, the world leader in the development, manufacture and support of advanced lidar and camera survey instruments, is pleased to announce its participation as an exhibitor at the SASGI Conference being held this year in Johannesburg on July 23-24.

SASGI will be the most significant African event of the year for surveyors, mapping institutions and geomatics companies. It offers a great opportunity to network with local and international experts and understand the benefits of using the latest mapping technology solutions.

Within that framework, Optech will also provide 4 hours of workshops recommended for professionals interested in leveraging new airborne, mobile and terrestrial surveying solutions to secure profitable business opportunities.

“We are firmly convinced that the African market holds promising opportunities for Optech technologies,” said Julien Losseau, Managing Director of Optech Europe. “Our main goal is to provide SASGI attendees with an understanding of how Optech solutions can help them grow their business. These targeted workshops will not only provide technical information about the features of our solutions, but will also identify the growing market applications that can be addressed successfully through Optech technology.” Finally, Mr. Losseau remarked, “We thank our local agent Autobuild Africa (Pty) for their support.”

“Optech brings a wealth of experience and the leading-edge technology needed for the development of the region,” said Dave Beattie, Managing Director of Autobuild Africa (Pty) Ltd. “Autobuild Africa is very proud to be associated with Optech and to collaborate with them at the SASGI event this year.”

SASGI attendees are invited to participate in the Optech workshops and stop by the Optech booth at the event. Because the number of seats is limited, stakeholders interested in the workshop program are urged to contact Nicola Scotto, Optech’s Europe Sales Coordinator, at Email Contact for more details. More information is also available on SASGI’s website at eepublishers.co.za/article/sasgi-2013-homepage.html.
