LMI Technologies Unveils the Next Generation HDI Advance 3D Scanner at Siggraph 2013

Vancouver, Canada, July 23, 2013 LMI Technologies (LMI), a leading developer of 3D scanning, measurement, and data visualization technologies, announces the official release of the next generation of the HDI Advance 3D scanning system at Siggraph 2013. This is the first HDI product launch since the acquisition of 3D3 Solutions earlier this year. LMI is demonstrating the new HDI Advance for the first time at the Siggraph Exhibition from July 23-25 in booth 819.

The purpose of the redesign is to push the limits of the scanner’s hardware by improving scanning repeatability and ease of use. The new HDI Advance now uses USB 3.0 cameras for both faster and simpler connectivity to a computer. The scanner also features new lenses that produce higher accuracy scans with less scan distortion compared to its predecessor. The sleeker mount design delivers better repeatability in scan results and offers more stability while scanning.
