Solair PLM: the Made-in-Italy Cloud-Based solution that revolutionizes information data management for companies

September 24, 2013 - Solair PLM is the new application developed by the Italian Company Solair to help Companies of all sizes to manage information, resources and processes through a true high security Cloud based system.

Solair PLM was born from the idea to offer to customers a tool that is scalable, easy to use, quick to implement and easy to configure exactly to the companies requirements. The patent pending innovation is in the possibility for users to quickly customize their work environment on their own, without the need for particular IT skills.

Solair PLM, developed on Solair Platform, is available as a SaaS solution (Software as a Service). Since it is Cloud-based, you do not have to invest in hardware and software, or in maintenance support. Users access the application from an Internet-ready pc or mobile device, through a secure connection via a modern web browser, at any time and wherever they are. There is no need install anything locally and updates are automatic, allowing everyone to always use state-of-the-art technology.

Solair PLM allows companies to vary the number resources that use the application in line with current production and engineering needs, thanks to the pay per use model ensuring customers really pay only for what they need. The application is suited for use across all company departments integrating with the IT solutions already present in the company, such as the most common CAD systems, MS Office and other manufacturing and business systems, etc.

Solair PLM also allows contractors, suppliers and customers to easily be integrated into the company’s processes thanks to the high security features that manage access and authorizations, so the benefits of PLM can be realized across the whole supply chain.

“B2C software keeps up with technological innovation and with consumer’s needs, while the B2B software world has always shown a great resistance to change.” explains Tom Davis, CEO of Solair. “We have introduced a reversal to this trend: even people who work in enterprises have the right to use solutions that are intuitive, easy to manage and, above all, accessible to everybody. Our B2B application has nothing to envy – in terms of quality, flexibility or simplicity - from the B2C software giants such as Google and Facebook. Our aim is to provide the tools to allow every organization to be more efficient, competitive and agile in responding to the ever faster changes in business”.

“Solutions that Get the Job Done, ensure the Benefits are Accessible and Happy Users. These are our guidelines in developing our solutions” says Valeria Naldi, R&D Director of Solair. “To create Solair PLM, we have put together a team with a wide range of skills, from graphic design to engineering and IT. We have also worked very closely with our Pioneer group of customers selected from diverse manufacturing sectors, ensuring we have created a solution that is< really what users need. What is most appreciated by our customers is the flexibility of Solair PLM, to be able to very quickly and easily ‘customize’ it >on their own to make it fit their specific company and user needs.
