Tanner EDA Continues Worldwide Expansion: Australia and New Zealand

Synchlogix to provide sales and support for full-flow analog mixed-signal IC design tool suite and MEMS software

MONROVIA, California – October 3, 2013 – Tanner EDA, the catalyst for innovation for the design, layout and verification of analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits (ICs), has appointed Synchlogix of Sydney, Australia, to provide sales and support for all Tanner EDA products in Australia and New Zealand. The distribution agreement will help Tanner EDA meet the growing demand in the region for the company’s full-flow analog and mixed-signal (A/MS) IC design suite, HiPer Silicon, MEMS software, and related specialty design tools and services.

Tanner EDA’s HiPer Silicon offers designers a complete software suite for the design, layout and verification of analog, mixed-signal, RF and MEMS ICs. The tool suite, available on both Windows and Linux platforms, consists of fully-integrated front-end and back end-tools, from schematic capture, circuit simulation, and waveform probing to physical layout and foundry-compatible physical verification.

More MEMS designs are created with Tanner EDA tools than with any other EDA tools. Open-platform CAD tools from SoftMEMS coupled with analog and digital design tools from Tanner EDA help users to co-design MEMS devices, their associated electronics and packaging in commercial MEMS systems.

“Australia is a development contractor for the rest of the world, and we are very excited to be representing Tanner EDA in the region,” said Clifford Rodrigues, president of Synchlogix. “The breadth of Tanner EDA’s solutions helps customers to develop everything from full systems-on-chip for biomedical and power management applications to MEMS solutions in photonics, microfluidics and pressure sensors. We have been working with a Tanner EDA partner – Aldec – for some time and look forward to now being able to offer designers full analog/ mixed-signal solutions as well as digital simulation technology.”

“We anticipate a very positive relationship with a distributor so familiar with the market for analog, digital and MEMS design in Australia and New Zealand as well as with solutions from some of our partners,” said John Zuk, vice president of marketing and business strategy at Tanner EDA. “Synchlogix will help us bring unprecedented interoperability and advanced capabilities to designers in this region.”

Synchlogix joins ICON Design Automation (India) and Beyond Electronics (Israel) as new distributors for Tanner EDA in 2013. See http://www.tannereda.com/press-room/press-releases for additional detail.
