Edgecam Expands Engineering Support Team

October 7, 2013

As more and more manufacturers turn to Edgecam for NC part programming, the software is expanding its team of sales support engineers with the appointment of David Currah.

Having been in the engineering industry since leaving school around 30 years ago, David started as a toolmaker before moving into production engineering and programming roles. His most recent role was an application engineer with a CAD/CAM company, working on advanced milling, but specialising in 5-axis machining.

Lee Richards, Edgecam’s Pre-Sales Manager, says: “Bringing David on board will allow us to increase support to both our UK and international sales teams, which is vital, as Edgecam has seen significant growth over the last year.”

And David says he was attracted by the prospect of working for a market leading CAM company where he can be involved in the complete sales cycle, including influencing product development.”

His experience spans a wide range of industries, from offshore to aerospace.
