“Northern Exhibition Confirms Healthy Manufacturing Industry,” says Vero

October 14, 2013

Vero Software says the success of the Northern Manufacturing exhibition, where the latest releases of Alphacam, Edgecam and Radan were all on show, confirms the industry’s healthy state.

Many customers told Edgecam they were extremely busy at the moment, and expected that trend to continue...while Radan was particularly delighted to see major sheetmetal machine tool manufacturers having a presence at the Northern Manufacturing Exhibition.

RADAN: Major Accounts Manager Kevin O’Connor says: “Sheetmetal exhibitions have become a rarity in the UK, meaning people have to travel to overseas shows. So it’s refreshing to see events such as Southern Manufacturing, and now Northern Manufacturing, being the showcase for companies involved in sheetmetal manufacturing.

“This was ideal for existing Radan users to have a preview of the new and enhanced functionality in the latest version, Radan 2014. Visitors to the Vero stand found the most interesting aspect of Radan to be the huge savings on production costs that can be achieved through nesting and automation.”

He also says it was encouraging to hear from customers that they are looking to invest in new machine tools during the coming year.

EDGECAM reported strong leads from the show, and held discussions with potential business partners. Edgecam Strategic Partnership Manager Wesley Tonks says: “Northern Manufacturing provided the perfect venue for existing and prospective Edgecam users to see how the software’s features than overcome their current challenges. We were also pleased to hear that many manufacturers are extremely busy at the moment and that they expect it to continue. The show was confirmation of a very healthy manufacturing industry.”

ALPHACAM: General Manger Nick Spurrett says: “It was great seeing Northern Manufacturing returning to its rightful home, and the exhibition did not disappoint Our team had a fantasic opportunity to speak to a large number of existing users and a number of new prospects. Visitors to the Vero stand were particularly impressed with Alphacam 2014 R1’s new functionality, including Multiple Turret, Multiple Spindle Simulation and to hear the about Alphacam’s forth coming User Group meetings covering the whole of the UK and Ireland.

“Overall, Team Alphacam believe it was very worthwhile attending and we look forward to seeing our existing customers there again next year.”
