Océ PlotWave 750 printing system improves networking, security and usability for CAD users

MELVILLE, N.Y. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — October 24, 2013 — Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, today announced the launch of the Océ PlotWave® 750 monochrome printing system, offering architects and engineers advanced networking, security and usability options for their large format print, copy and scan needs. Based on the multi-award winning Océ TDS750 system, technical users can use this system to communicate faster, more economically and more effectively.

Based on new developments in Canon’s customers’ workflows, the Océ PlotWave® 750 monochrome printing system has advanced core black & white capabilities to help meet the latest communication challenges.

Features in the Océ PlotWave® 750 system include:

Advanced networking and security

Professionals in the technical world spend considerable time working outside the office. With the Océ PlotWave 750 system, users can now capture changes and submit documents for printing with their mobile device using Océ Mobile WebTools or Océ Publisher Express software. For more complex projects and job submission, users can print via Océ Publisher Select software with a highly easy to use interface. These new networking capabilities are supported by stringent security measures configurable in the system. The Microsoft Windows Embedded Standard 7 (WES7) controller meets the latest IT standards that users demand. The Océ PlotWave 750 system also offers up-to-date features such as antivirus support, HTTPS, IPsec and E-shredding along with smart inbox management capabilities.

Fast and productive

Construction companies and engineering departments can more easily meet their challenging deadlines with the instant-on performance of Océ Radiant Fusing technology. With the Océ PlotWave 750 system, users can output over 27 D-size prints before other devices have even started printing. And the Océ PlotWave 750 system will consistently turn out nine D-size prints per minute, even with mixed sizes. Big jobs are not a problem. With six media rolls, the Océ Double Decker Pro stacker and built-in cutters, users can print and stack up to 3,900 feet of output without interruption. They can scan and copy as-builts, color markup and other technical documents in one quick and easy step and immediately archive or distribute documents.

Easy for everyone

The Océ PlotWave 750 system runs on the universal Océ software suite that provides a consistent user interface and operation across all Océ branded wide format systems. As a result, users with prior experience with Océ wide format systems require little to no training and gain significant operational benefits via a uniform workflow across the Océ PlotWave 750, Océ PlotWave 340, Océ PlotWave 360, Océ ColorWave 650, and Océ ColorWave 300 systems.

The Océ PlotWave 750 system is available as of October 22, 2013. For more information and details visit Canon U.S.A.
