Mike Gianfagna Returns to the eSilicon Executive Team to Head Worldwide Marketing

SAN JOSE, CA -- (Marketwired) -- Nov 05, 2013 -- eSilicon Corporation, the largest independent semiconductor design and manufacturing services provider, today announced the addition of Mike Gianfagna to its executive team as vice president, marketing.

"I'm delighted to welcome Mike back to the executive team. eSilicon is about to embark on its next incarnation, and Mike is exactly the right guy to drive this effort," said eSilicon CEO Jack Harding. "He was here with us in the early days of eSilicon and demonstrated his ability to bring a shared vision to life."

Gianfagna has over 30 years of business and technology experience in semiconductors and EDA. Most recently, Gianfagna was vice president of corporate marketing at Atrenta Inc., a privately held EDA company. Prior to Atrenta, he was president and CEO of Aprio Technologies, a venture-funded design-for-manufacturability startup. Before Aprio, he was an early employee of eSilicon Corporation. Gianfagna has held senior executive positions at Cadence Design Systems and Zycad Corporation. His career began at RCA Solid State, where he was part of the team that launched the company's ASIC business. He has also held senior management positions at General Electric and Harris Semiconductor (now Intersil). He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from New York University and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering degree from Rutgers University.

"In 2000, eSilicon changed the semiconductor landscape with the introduction of the fabless ASIC model," said Gianfagna. "It's time to change the landscape again, this time leveraging the Internet to simplify advanced technology access and reduce risk."
