November 12, 2013 - Sarasota, FLA--Florida-based Boost Studio is proud to have been chosen as the Agency of Record for Intention Technology's Tricorder X-Prize Challenge project. The award-winning branding firm will create branding and communications for the project as well as helping to design the actual product entry.
The Tricorder X-Prize Challenge is an international challenge providing $10 million in award money to a team that can prove best-able to create the fabled “tricorder”, a non-invasive medical device that can diagnose diseases in the human body. The concept comes from the science-fiction television show Star Trek, but the competition is very real. An official announcement from the X-Prize Foundation of all the competing teams was made this month, Intention Technology is moving ahead as it has been anounced as one of 34 official teams. The X-Prize Foundation is most famous for its first challenge to have a private, non-governmental, group build and fly a reusable vehicle that could venture into space twice in two weeks. The winning entry of that competition is now found in the National Air & Space Museum in Washington, D.C. and it launched the company known as Virgin Galactic which will be providing flights into space for those of us who aren't NASA astronauts.
