HOUSTON, TX -- (Marketwired) -- Nov 19, 2013 -- Intergraph is hosting a webinar on November 25, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. CT that will discuss the new features, enhancements, and code updates in PV Elite 2014 including vessel codes changes. The webinar will review some of the code changes in ASME Section VIII, Division 1 and 2 and Section II, Part D, including code changes that will be mandatory in January 2014. Division 1 provides requirements for the design, fabrication, inspection, testing, and certification of pressure vessels. Division 2 provides for more vigorous requirements on materials, design, and nondestructive examination, including vessels for human occupancy such as in the diving industry. Section II, Part D provides standards for material properties that go into vessels. The webinar leader will be Scott Mayeux, director of development for Pressure Vessels and Exchanger Solutions at Intergraph.
