WESTMINSTER, CO – December 17, 2013  TransMagic, Inc., leading developer of 3D CAD data exchange and validation software, announces the release of TransMagic R10 sp1.  The first service pack for notable TransMagic release 10, sp1 entails multiple enhancements and improvements including the release of multi-core processing, refined PMI technology, new features and new formats.

The new CAD formats, SMLib and DXF read/write, are included with R10 sp1, as highly anticipated formats for the TransMagic user community.  Various CAD version support updates as well as preview technology of new formats are also released in R10 sp1 including:

New CAD Version Support:

- CATIA V6 R2014

- Inventor 2014

- NX 8.5.2 Release

- Parasolid 26.0

Updated CAD Add-in Support:

- SolidWorks 2014

- Inventor 2014

New Formats:

- Collada Write

TransMagic R10 sp1 is the first release of the TransMagic application on top of their new multi-core processing power.  While most applications access one processing core at a time, TransMagic can now source all processing cores in a computer, spreading the application’s processing requirements and usage over all available resources.  Essentially, TransMagic’s multi-core processing creates a faster, more efficient method of translation and repair.  As cores are scalable, TransMagic’s performance also scales with the number of cores in the computer.  Using environment resources more intelligently, TransMagic R10 sp1 delivers a quicker application for the end user, maximizing their time.

Introducing many new features, TransMagic focuses on customer experience and product intuition with TransMagic R10 sp1.  The new model Dynamic Selection features intuitive, mouse-click automation to select various levels of a model assembly from the faces, edges and vertices to the top-level assembly.  In virtually a handful of clicks, users can now ‘scroll’ through a complex model assembly with Dynamic Selection.  New feature, Open in a New Document, allows users to seamlessly view model parts, assemblies or selections in separate windows, as simple as “Open in a New Window”.  Following with user intuition and ease-of-use, TransMagic also introduces Assembly Tree Keyboard Controls, analogous to file browsing controls, delivering an efficient ability to work through complex assembly trees.  Part and assembly renaming and polygonal facet refinement options give the user higher control for increased output value. With refined PMI (product manufacturing information), TransMagic delivers exponentially more usable product detail for better analysis, revision management and downstream applications.

TransMagic R10 sp1 is another step forward in not only 3D CAD data exchange and usability, but ease-of-use, customer experience and intelligent design.  “What would it mean if you could save an hour every day searching for CAD data, repairing files, or shoe-horning models into supporting applications?” asked Craig Dennis, CTO of TransMagic,  “This new service pack of TransMagic can pull CAD data like a freight train!  Merry Christmas!”
