Greenwood Village, Colorado – January 23, 2014 – Merrick &Company’s Surveying team ( www.merrick.com/Surveying )is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a multi-year contract with Georgia Transmission Corporation(GTC) to provide surveying, GISand aerial mappingservices.
Merrick will provide GTC( www.gatrans.com) with a staff of GIS professionals to support their enterprise geographic information systems (GIS), which is critical to its daily operations. The GIS team will primarily be maintaining GTC’s Integrated Transmission System (ITS) facility data, as well as supporting all new construction projects with an innovative routing and siting process. Merrick will also provide land survey and airborne mapping support services for all new and existing transmission / substation construction projects.
