MUNICH — (BUSINESS WIRE) — June 2, 2014 — PRO DESIGN, supplier of high-speed, flexible and modular FPGA-based Prototyping Systems, announced today that John Hoekstra has joined the company as Director of North American Sales.
John joins the company at a perfect time after PRO DESIGN has achieved several successes with their proFPGA product line in the FPGA based Prototyping market. Within the first 18 months after the release of the proFPGA product line PRO DESIGN was able to win already 25 customers in 10 countries for their products and is ready to expand its market presence. John will focus on customer support and revenue growth for the FPGA Prototyping business unit in North America.
John has an extensive IC design, EDA marketing and sales background. He started his career as a custom chip designer at STC and UTMC. After his successful chip design career, John held various positions as field application engineer at AMIS and Chipx, before he moved into a sales manager role in the hardware assisted verification market. He has a proven track record and success in growing high-tech ASIC prototyping companies. Before joining PRO DESIGN, John was the North American Sales Manager at Hardi Electronics (acquired 2008 by Synopsys), EVE (acquired 2012 by Synopsys) and S2C.
