CD-adapco Customers to See Productivity Gains with STAR-CCM+ v9.04

STAR-CCM+ v9.04 is now available for download.

NEW YORK and LONDON, June 25, 2014 — (PRNewswire) —  CD-adapco™, the largest privately held CFD focused provider of Computer Aided Engineering software, today announced the release of STAR-CCM+® v9.04, the second release in 2014 of its flagship simulation tool. Customers will see reductions in overall time-to-solution and dramatic productivity gains using STAR-CCM+ v9.04 workflow improvements, parallel meshing and optimization capabilities. The addition of new physics models allows users to perform increasingly realistic CAE simulations that more closely represent the real world conditions under which their product will operate.

CD-adapco is the world's largest independent CFD-focused provider of engineering simulation software, support and services.

"With STAR-CCM+ v9.04 we have continued to add new modeling capabilities, increasing accuracy realism and throughput of their applications results," said Senior VP of Product Management, Jean-Claude Ercolanelli. "The development of the STAR-CCM+ v9 releases remains completely focused on simulating large and complex models more easily, faster and in the shortest amount of time."

New features such as Concurrent Per-Part Meshing allows users to distribute the wrapping and meshing of complex multi-part assemblies over many parallel processors; the Adjoint Solver Expression allows users to mathematically combine individual cost functions together into more representative expressions; CAD robustness study allows users to identify potential geometry failures that might disrupt design exploration and optimization studies; DFBI (Dynamic Fluid Body Interaction) Contact Coupling allows the user to model contact and collisions between moving bodies and boundaries; new levels of realism have been added to the volume rendering feature to make more meaningful analysis of the results; a new Field Function Editor will make their definition and creation more robust. The new features and their range of benefits are discussed in full detail in the company blog ( http://www.cd-adapco.com/blog).
