52nd Design Automation Conference (DAC) Names Executive Committee

Anne Cirkel of Mentor Graphics to serve as General Chair

LOUISVILLE, Colo. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — August 6, 2014 — The Design Automation Conference (DAC), the premier conference devoted to electronic design and design automation, has named the members of the 52nd DAC Executive Committee. The Executive Committee (EC) oversees the exhibition and trade show, plans the technical program, establishes new initiatives, and manages conference operations and publicity. The 52nd DAC will be held at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, CA, from June 7-11, 2015.

Anne Cirkel, a senior director for technology marketing at Mentor Graphics, will serve as the general chair for the 52nd DAC. Prior to joining Mentor Graphics, Anne held marketing management positions at Analogy, Viewlogic, and Berner & Mattner. Anne holds a Master's degree in business administration with an undergraduate degree in metallurgy from RWTH Aachen in Germany.

Anne has served on the DAC Executive Committee for over eight years, first as the EDAC representative from 2007 – 2013 and then as the vice-chair in 2014. During that time Anne served on various EC sub-committees in the planning and implementation of the show from the Strategy Committee, the Industry Liaison Committee, and the Marketing Committee to the Automotive Technical Program Committee. In addition, Anne played an active role on the Executive Committee for DATE as well as the Program Committee for Embedded World.

Anne is joined on the EC by the following volunteers from across the semiconductor, automotive, embedded systems, IP and EDA industries and from academia. New seats representing security and embedded systems and software have been added to the 2015 EC committee, allowing for a more focused approach to these initiatives.

Anyone interested in volunteering should contact the DAC office at 303-530-4333 for more information.

“The Design Automation Conference is the premier event in our industry and the only one bringing together designers, EDA engineering teams, academia, and the vendor community. While remaining true to its roots, DAC addresses advances not just in core EDA, but in areas that greatly benefit from design automation methodologies and technologies such as embedded systems and software, automotive electronics, IP design and verification, and hardware security,” said Anne Cirkel. “We assembled a fantastic team to plan and execute the 52nd DAC and we are on course to deliver another great event next June.”
