Colin Raney joins Formlabs to lead Global Marketing

SOMERVILLE, Mass., Aug. 20, 2014 — (PRNewswire) — Formlabs, a leader in professional desktop 3D printing, announced today that Colin Raney is joining its leadership team to focus on global marketing and customer experience. Raney joins Formlabs from IDEO, the global innovation and design consultancy, where he served as Managing Director of the firm's Boston studio. The move signals Formlabs' ongoing commitment to creating world-class products that seamlessly fuse engineering and design.

Formlabs designs and manufactures powerful and accessible digital fabrication tools for designers, engineers, and artists. It was founded by a team of engineers and designers from the MIT Media Lab and Center for Bits and Atoms, and launched in 2012 in a record-breaking $3M Kickstarter campaign.
