HOUSTON, TX -- (Marketwired) -- Sep 09, 2014 -- Intergraph has published a new case study that describes how Engineers India Ltd (EIL) used PV Elite to analyze and address design challenges on a tail gas coalescer for the sulfur recovery unit at Bhara Petroleum Corporation's facility in Kochi, India. After the PV Elite analysis results, they discovered that a typical skirt support was not feasible due to space restraints. With limited remaining time, they used PV Elite to design a rare and successful eight-leg support system that required a body flange of124 inches, a size with no governing standard. With PV Elite, they were able to finish on time while saving 15% in material by eliminating over-dimensioned equipment.
