3D Model-Based Technical Workshops For Optimizing Design, Engineering, and Business Processes

DENVER, CO, October 16, 2014 -- Jennifer Herron, principal of Action Engineering, has announced that she will lead two unique technical workshops on 3D model-based practices in January 2015 in Denver, Colorado. These two workshops will be relevant to all mechanical designers and engineers in the Aerospace, Defense, Medical and other Product Development industries who are searching for methods for manufacturing better products.

January's Denver Workshops will be live interactive educational sessions for using 3D models from the design through manufacturing phases of the product development lifecycle.

Attendees at the workshops will learn about the Model-Based philosophy and how to:

  • Facilitate adoption of Model-Based processes among their organization's stakeholders
  • Implement best practices that will optimize design, engineering, and business processes.
  • Understand the benefits of corporate, national, and international standards for addressing and resolving model-based issues during the product development lifecycle.

Jennifer Herron, MSCE and BSME, is the author of Re-Use Your CAD: The Model-Based CAD Handbook and Owner/Principal of Action Engineering, a company that specializes in the promotion, process development, and standardization of 3D CAD Model-Based Design (MBD). She promotes proper modeling techniques, 3D PMI, and 3D tolerance schemas for optimizing model-based investment and to re-use CAD solid models for as many downstream applications as possible.
