The International Association for the Engineering Analysis Community Partners with Dassault Systèmes through their SIMULIA brand for Major International Conference
GLASGOW, UK, OCTOBER 27th 2014 – NAFEMS, the International Association for the Engineering Analysis, Modelling and Simulation Community, has announced that Dassault Systèmes, which delivers a scalable portfolio of Realistic Simulation, Optimization, and Simulation Process Management solutions under the SIMULIA brand, will be the platinum sponsor of the 2015 NAFEMS World Congress (NWC15).
The 2015 World Congress, being held in San Diego, California between June 21st and 24th will include over 150 presentations in more than 40 sessions, representing the most comprehensive and wide-ranging collection of analysis and simulation specific papers available from one independent, international event. The event will also be held in conjunction with the 2nd International SPDM (Simulation Process & Data Management Conference), providing attendees with the opportunity to access both events with a single registration.
“As a global member of NAFEMS and Platinum Sponsor of the 2015 NAFEMS World Congress, Dassault Systèmes is committed to empowering the global simulation community to enhance their engineering, business and innovation leadership through the use of proven simulation technologies,” said Sumanth Kumar, Vice President, SIMULIA Portfolio Experience, Dassault Systèmes. “We are also committed to enhancing and expanding our simulation portfolio to address a full range of engineering challenges from multiphysics to multiscale to managing and securing simulation IP.”
Since 2013, Dassault Systèmes has added to its SIMULIA portfolio technologies from Safe Technology Ltd for durability, FE-Design for expanded optimization capabilities, Simpoe for injection molding, and most recently SIMPACK to drive innovation through multibody dynamic simulation. “We are pleased to have the opportunity to share and discuss these technologies with the global community at the 2015 Congress,” added Kumar.
Tim Morris, NAFEMS’ CEO, added, “We are delighted to welcome Dassault Systèmes as Platinum Sponsor of our biennial World Congress. For the past four congresses we have received a great deal of support from their SIMULIA brand. We appreciate the trust that they place in us, and we look forward to having them on board for the event in San Diego next year”.
With a wide-ranging program of keynote speakers, technical session, workshops, round-tables and free training courses, the importance of the World Congress for the simulation and analysis community is plain to see. “The NAFEMS World Congress is a global event, in the true sense of the word”, Morris continued. “As well as delegates and presenters travelling from all over the world to attend, the event also aims to give a comprehensive overview of current best practice and important issues in the simulation, modelling and analysis community. The caliber of papers and presentations, combined with the training courses and workshops included in the delegate fee, gives attendees an unrivalled insight into the use of simulation across every industry, from every part of the world. We truly believe that this is the key event of 2015 for anyone involved in analysis and simulation at any level”.
As many as six parallel tracks will run over the four days of the Congress, covering topics including;
Structural Analysis; Computational Fluid Dynamics; Dynamics & Testing; Multi-body Simulation; Analysis Management; Business Issues; Simulation Data Management; CAD CAE Integration; Materials; Composites; Life Sciences; Geotechnical & Foundation Engineering; Confidence in Results; Multiphysics; Electrical; e-Mobility; Systems Modelling & Simulation; Methods; Emerging Issues; Computing; High Performance Computing; Optimization; Manufacturing Processes; Stochastics; Education & Training
A number of short-courses will also be available free to all delegates, as well as several workshops and special sessions on specific topics.
The NAFEMS World Congress is the only event dedicated to showcasing the state-of-the-art and state-of-practice in the simulation world in an impartial forum, open to everyone with an interest in how to benefit most from their use of simulation. With the call for abstracts currently open until November 17th 2014, there is an opportunity for all those interested in presenting to submit their paper summary for consideration at www.nafems.org/congress
